Reading this blog put me back in touch with an idea I've tried before, on paper, that I would like to rejuvenate: The Commonplace Book. (from that site:)
Commonplace books have their origin in the Renaissance as one means of coping with the information overload of that era. They helped students select, organize, classify, and remember key moral precepts.
Others have noticed the similarities between the commonplace book and blogs, blogrolls, personal web sites. The information is too much. We want to keep some. How to store it so that we can find it again?
No problem so new that the likes of T. Jefferson did not come up with his own solution.
